Mody B. Harjo

Mody B. Harjo journeyed to the spirit world on November 23rd, 2025 in Denver, CO. He was born in Seminole, OK on August 16th, 1952 to George and Christine B. Harjo. Honorably raised by his paternal grandmother Sena Wolfe and grandfather Cornelius Larney. He was raised a member of Hitchitee United Methodist Church. Mody is a member at Tvlvhvsee Wakokaye Ceremonial Ground.

Mody was preceded in death by his parents George and Christine B. Harjo; grandma Sena Wolfe; brothers Sam B. Harjo, Wallace B. Harjo, Coac Ahassie, Kimble B. Harjo and Willie B. Harjo; sister Lucy Kay and James Smith, Aunt Virginia “Micco” Larney; nephew Paul Harjo; and niece Kristy Dawn Fixico.

Mody B. Harjo is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lisa B. Harjo of Denver, CO; daughters Tvhokne Harjo, Rosa Molina, Sena Harjo, and Bvgehoyoge; son-in laws Brian Shaver, Aaron Culbertson, and Andres Escamilla; grandchildren Rvfo, Folane, Suwesuwe, Daunte, Analeyah, and Andres “Juni”; raised nephews Westley and Skyhawk; dog and best friend Nokose; siblings Marsey B. Harjo of Seminole,OK, Nancy Fixico of Seminole, OK Yogi and Naomi B. Harjo of Del City, OK, Sonja Larney of Denver, CO, Sharon and Mike Proctor of Henryetta, OK, and Janie Bear of Newalla, OK; and all of his beloved nieces and nephews.

Mody will be taken to Hitchitee United Methodist Church on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 3:00pm and the wake will be held at 6:00pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on December 2nd, 2025 at Hitchitee United Methodist Church. His final resting place will be at the B. Harjo Family Cemetery in Seminole, OK.
