Millie Jenkins

Longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, Millie Rebecca (Smith) Jenkins, passed away at the age of 86 on September 26, 2026. She was born on June 29, 1940 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Alvie Abbert Smith and Gracie Rebecca (Landtroop) Smith. Millie married William L. Jenkins on February 14, 1999 in Seminole.

Millie worked at Big Yank, Walmart and also ran her own day care. She enjoyed sewing, going to garage sales, feeding the birds and working in her flowers. She really loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She would make the best homemade stew and invite everyone over for a bowl, and if the family was lucky, she would make fried green tomatoes to go with it.

Left to cherish Millie’s memory, is her husband, William L. Jenkins, daughters; LaDonna Vanlandingham and her husband Vince, LaDena Spradlin and her husband Jason, Jan Cherry, Trish Jenkins and Mary Kay Cowles, her brother; Alvie Ken Smith and wife Toni, grandchildren; Mariah and Josh Parker, Paige and Wyatt Carol, Blake Spradlin, Autumn and Jimmy Son and great grandchildren; Graycn Parker, Weston Parker, Banner Carol and Carter Son. She was preceded in death by Alvie Smith, Gracie Allsup, Buford Smith, Wes Smith, Dorothy Logan and Kaye Brandt.

Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Temple of Praise church in Seminole with Jeff Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
