Marty Dea Morgan

Marty Dea Morgan , age 66 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away March 7, 2024 at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Drew Isaacs will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Kaden Goodwin, Jace Bicknell, Jesse Morgan, Doug Isaacs, Moses Isaacs, and Frankie Hudson.

Marty was born July 3, 1957 in Ada, Oklahoma to Vernon Anthony Morgan and Daisy Marie Sanderson.  He graduated from Konawa High School, and he worked as a derrickhand.  Marty was a member of Grace Community Church.  He loved fishing, racing cars and motorcycles, and he loved playing the drums and listening to music.

He is survived by three sisters, Debbie Fuget of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Angie T. Morgan of Oklahoma City, and Nancy Mortan of Dallas, Texas; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Connie Wilkerson; and one brother, Eugene "Cotton" Ranells.
