Marjorie Carole Meeks

Marjorie Carole Meeks, 75, longtime Seminole resident, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Seminole. Marjorie was born on October 20, 1939 in Windom, Minnesota to Ray E. and Marie (Cross) Safley. She graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1958 in Canoga Park, California. She married Jack H. Meeks on February 28, 1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada. After Jack retired from the U.S. Air Force, they moved back to Oklahoma in 1966. Margie worked for Webster Electric as a secretary and bookkeeper for 23 years before retiring. She is survived by her loving husband Jack Meeks of 56 years., her daughter, Patti Bowen and her husband Jerry of Seminole, Oklahoma, one son, Mark Meeks and his wife Marcie, of Seminole, Oklahoma, and her grandson whom she loved more than anything else, Dalton Meeks of Seminole, Oklahoma. she also is survived by seven sisters, Delores Lowe, Doris Lowe, Janice Lehl, Shirley Irwin, Beverly Edwards, Marilyn Morris and Sharon McKinzie, her brother-in-law, Bill Meeks, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Jim Safley and Bob Safley. There will be no public services for Margie. The family would like to say a special thank you to Faith Hospice, LaCrissa, Ashley, Dee and Debbie for all the care and support they have shown. We will be forever grateful.
