Longtime Seminole resident, Louise Marie Moore, 91, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Eufaula.
Louise, the daughter of Daniel “Matt”, and Laura (Loudermilk) Heffley, was born, July 23, 1932, in Seminole. She graduated with the Seminole High School, class of 1950. On May 1, 1953, she married Archie Moore, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Louise was a home maker, who enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, walking, reading the Bible, and raising her kids and grandkids. She was a member of Bowlegs First Baptist and for years she cooked for her church preparing countless meals for VBS and Falls Creek. After Archie retired from the Seminole Fire Department, they moved to Broken Bow, where they were the Camp Host for over 20 years. Louise and Archie enjoyed 63 years of marriage, prior to his passing in June of 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Laura Heffley; her husband Archie Moore; daughters, Laura Williams and Dessie Long, twin sons, Don and Dean Greenwood; brothers, Ronnie Heffley, Leon Heffley, and Robert Heffley; and sister, Wanda Maholik.
Louise is survived by her sons, Larry Greenwood, of Muce, OK., Steve Moore, of Claremore, OK., Glen Moore, of Seminole, OK., and Timothy Moore of Tahlequah, OK.; daughter, Ladonna Barner, of Stidham, OK.; 18 grandchildren, Amy Chyz, Amanada Lewis, Steven John Moore, Cory Moore, Amber Van Brunt, Kraig Van Brunt, Jessica Ewin, Tracy Brooks, Jason Brennen, Tara Brennen, Jenny Payton, Timmy Moore, Chris Moore, Jill Darr, Zachary Barner, Axel Barner, Tulsa Adams and Tia Wigley; 29 greatgrandchildren, Ashleigh Cornell, Nicole Cornell, Shawna Lewis, Joe Lewis, Stevie Mathews, Huston Moore, Trinity Moore, Shepherd Van Brunt, Beckham Van Brunt, Kash Van Brunt, Madison Van Brunt, Hanna Yott, Skylar Yott, Yahaira Brennen, Jacob Brennen, Tray Isaacs, Alexis Isaacs, Lana Isaacs, Zoe Payton, Piper Payton, Kale Moore, Shawn Moore, Taylor Moore, Ethan Moore, Elijah Moore, Cole Darr, Dalli Barner, Dixie Barner, Dayci Barner, Stihl Barner, Liliahna Wigley, Owen Wigley, Nash Adams and Loraleigh Wigley.; and 7 great-greatgrandchildren, Addelee Rushing, Emma Leigh Brister, Charlotte Messinger, Ezekiel Lewis, Saige Lewis, Layla Lewis and Calahan Mathews; brothers, Joe Heffley, of Seminole, Jim Heffley, of Longtown, and Kenneth Heffley, of Kentucky; a sister, Bertha Pokresky, of Seminole; and many other family members, and friends.
Services are Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home, in Seminole, with Bill Chesser officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
