Lillian Kay Compton, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in Seminole at the age of 83. Lillian was born on April 25, 1942 in Seminole, OK to T.I. and Geneva (Dockery) Black. She was a Seminole High School graduate. She also attended Seminole State College and the University of Oklahoma earning her bachelor's degree in nursing. She married Jack Compton.
Lillian loved the company of her chihuahuas, especially Stormy. She enjoyed antiquing and going out to eat with family. Lillian had an extensive collection of cookbooks.
Lillian is survived by her two sons, Dean Pence and Aaron Compton of Shawnee, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Mary Black of Seminole, OK; sister, Veta Wilson of Seminole; nieces Rhonda Canfield of Noble, OK and Sherry Beasley of Wichita, KS; special cousin, Dannaca Preiutt; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Compton and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of Lillian’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Highway Baptist Church with Pastor Carl Whitfield officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
