Lavaun Sue (Shelton) Perry

Lavaun Sue (Shelton) Perry , age 83 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away March 12, 2024 at Regency Skilled Nursing and Therapy in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Moore Cemetery in Moore, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Scott Hamilton will officiate.

Lavaun was born May 17, 1940 in San Fidel, New Mexico to Robert William Shelton and Eloice (Laney) Ross.  She married Dock Perry, Jr. March 14, 1958 at a church on 36th Street in Oklahoma City, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Asher.

She is survived by her husband, Dock Perry, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Lavaunna Lynn Perry; two brothers, John Ross and Laney Tate Ross; and two sisters, Charlene Nelson and JoAnn Russell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, John B. Ross; and son, Dock William Perry.
