Shawnee resident Lana Iris (Johnson) Switch, 40, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, in Shawnee. Lana was born September 2, 1986, in Ada, Oklahoma, to George Johnson and Diana Alford. She was a graduate of Hartshorne High School, where she was a member of the Class of 2006.
Lana found joy in the simple things in life. She enjoyed listening to audiobooks and spending time doing crafts. Her creativity and interests brought her comfort and enjoyment, and she will be remembered by her family and friends for the special place she held in their lives.
Lana is survived by her parents, Diana Alford and George Johnson; two brothers, Sean Allen Johnson and wife Lindsay of Arkansas and Tusekia Richmond Johnson and spouse Leah Shores of Tryon, Oklahoma, along with many other relatives and friends who loved her and will cherish her memory.
Also surviving Lana on her mother’s side are: uncle Kevin Alford, uncle and aunt Kent Alford and wife Stacei, uncle Katsitenseriio of New York, aunt, Wassontiiosta of New York, aunt, Quaquachawase of Canada, nephew, Nathaniel Alford, niece Kylie Alford, nephew, Rahstin Johnson with great niece, Monsa Johnson, niece Adison Johnson, nephews, Locy Lee Johnson and Royal Johnson plus many cousins. Preceding her in death on her mother’s side were grandmother, Johnnie Mae Larney-Alford, uncle Richard Alford, Jr., grandfather, Richard Alford, Sr. and aunt, Deidra Alford.
Surviving Lana on her father’s side are her uncles, Steve Allen Johnson, Bruce Dale Johnson, Grayling Wade Johnson and Leam Edwin Johnson and aunt Emma Lee Johnson, plus many cousins. Preceding her in death on her father’s side are her grandmother Myrtle Fixico Johnson, her grandfather, Eugene Johnson and uncles, Ronnie Gene Johnson, Walter Mack Johnson, Josie Ed Johnson and Curtis Ray Johnson.
A wake service will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole with Rev. Bill Hobia and Snake Creek officiating.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. Burial will follow at Snake Creek Cemetery in Seminole with Rev. Thomas Little officiating. Lunch will be served after the burial.
Those serving as casket bearers will be Rahstin Johnson, Wally Bear, Cornell Lee Mitchell, JoJo Tebe, Yahola Wind, Chris Yargee, Brandan Wind, Nathaniel Wind and Sonny Bear.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
