Ladawn Renee Douthit

Seminole resident LaDawn Rene Douthit, 56, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Rene was born on September 28, 1969, in Seminole to Harlin Carey and Shirley (Marquis) Nunnelley. She graduated from Seminole High School with the Class of 1987 and worked for many years as a computer room clerk for Wrangler.

Rene enjoyed gardening, singing karaoke, watching football, attending concerts, and listening to her cherished vinyl record collection. She will be remembered for the joy she found in music, family, and the simple pleasures of life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harlin Carey Nunnelley.

Rene is survived by her mother, Shirley Nunnelley of Seminole; her son, Braxton Douthit of Edmond; her daughter, Montana Douthit of Oklahoma City; her brother, Heath Nunnelley of Seminole; her sister and brother-in-law, Karena and Brian Crider of Meeker; and many other beloved family members and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
