Judy F Smith

Seminole resident, Judy F Smith, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Oklahoma City. 

Judy, the daughter of Thurman and Lela (Wood) Vass, was born August 28, 1947, in Shawnee. She was a graduate of Shawnee High School, with the class of 1965. On October 23, 1964, she married James Eugene “Gene” Smith, in Shawnee. Gene preceded her in death on January 17, 2015. Judy enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards and bingo, and spending time with her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Smith; her parents, Lela and Thurman Vass; and two brothers, Tommy Vass, and Charles Vass. 

Judy is survived by her sons, James Smith, of Seminole, and Jay Smith of Miami, Ok; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Rhonda Vass, Paden, Ok; 2 grandchildren, Zaine Smith and Natalie Henner; and many other family members and friends. 

Services will be Thursday, October 24, at 2:00 P.M. at Lord’s Community Church, in Seminole, with Neta Moreland officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
