Juanita Burk

Funeral services for Juanita Burk, 94, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 5, 2023 at The Assembly. Pastor Christopher Miller, Linda Burk Crews and Pastor John Burk will officiate. Interment will follow on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Little Cemetery in Little, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Services are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Juanita was born on May 1, 1928 in Punkin Center, Oklahoma and passed away on December 31, 2022 in West Monroe. She was a member of The Assembly in West Monroe and was a retired school teacher with the Ouachita Parish School Board. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Alford William Burk; and daughter, Ramona Burk Ashbrook.

Juanita is survived by her children, Linda Burk Crews and husband Fredore of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, and John Burk and wife Debbie of Beaumont, Texas; son-in-law, John Ashbrook and wife Sharon of West Monroe, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Christopher Crews and wife Lorella, Jason Crews and wife Jill, Jeremy Burk and wife Tandy, Clay Ashbrook and wife Tessa, Jennifer Kelley and husband Patrick, and Michelle Burnett and husband Destin; fourteen great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.
