Joyce Ann Morgan left her Earthly body the night of April 23, 2026 at 1:20AM CST. Her spiritual transition to unite with our heavenly father in paradise comes with many tears and memories and example of what short time we all have together here. Comfort only comes knowing she is no longer bound by the constraints of her earthly body and in knowing she is now in a place where she will forever be young, full of happiness and anxiously awaiting reunion with those that preceded her in death and those to soon join her. Being a devoted Christian, she was a true role model of strength, endurance and walking in faith speaking always of the hereafter in eternity. She was previously a member of the Yukon Church of Christ and most recently a member of the Eufaula Church of Christ.
Joyce is preceded in death by parents Oscar A. Danielson and Wilma (Teola) J. Danielson of Wewoka, OK and in-laws Loyd and Velma Morgan of Cromwell OK. and just recently deceased sister Judith Kay Wills of Broken Bow, OK. as well as many nieces, nephews and sisters and brothers- in-law which are also greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Albert L. Morgan of Eufaula, OK., son Gregory L. Morgan of OKC., OK., daughter Stephanie M. Craig and husband Jon Craig of Seminole, OK and grandsons Mason Craig and wife Tabitha Craig and Tyler Craig and Lindsay Holmes of Seminole, OK. as well as her great grandchildren Rosalie Craig, Kanan Craig, and Saige Aurora Craig. Joyce is also survived by her baby sister Sue Alexander of Seminole, OK, boyfriend Mike Hookom, and brother Dannie Danielson of Edmond, OK as well many nephew and nieces. She is also survived by sisters- in- law Ladean Lasiter of Eufaula, OK, Naomi O’Donnell of Edmond, OK, and LeAnn Morgan of Seminole, OK and brother-in-law Hershell O’Donnell of Edmond along with many nephews and nieces
Joyce was born and raised on a farm between Wewoka, OK and Seminole, OK where she worked at what was once the county’s favorite swimming hangout at her grandparents’ Danielson Lake now known as St. Crispin’s Church Camp between Wewoka and Seminole off highway 9. If she wasn’t working giving pony rides or life guarding, she was swimming or playing in the acres of woods and old caves where she would often find old arrowheads which later lead to her hobby of arrowhead collecting. She continued adding to her collection over the years often searching the beaches of Eufaula Lake for arrowheads that washed up on beaches at Eufaula Lake. She could always spot them. Joyce attended Butner High School until 1963 before moving to Oxford, Kansas and graduated from Oxford High School in 1964. Her career started working in a hospital in Moore, OK. followed by many years in the banking industry before lastly co-owning an insurance business with husband Albert Morgan and finally retiring at Eufaula Lake. Her favorite hobby was shopping. She could spend hours shopping with you for one specific item that had to be the right fit, color and price and looked over from every angle more than just a few times and searching from store to store only to end up at the first store where she had started to finally purchase the same item to most looked to all be the same thing, but she knew the difference. It was her thing. It wasn’t unlike her to come home sneaking in a mound of shopping bags yet mention “I just picked up a few things” or “I’ve had this forever you just don’t remember it.” Ha. Her loving, caring nature and laugh will leave a great void with us all and she will forever be in our memories and hearts and she will be awaiting a reunion with us all.
Services will be held Saturday May 2nd at 2PM CST at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK with Charles Bailey from Eufaula, Ok Church of Christ officiating. The pallbearers will be Owen Corwin, Mason Craig, Tyler Craig, Jon Craig, Josh Little, and Rodger Shaw. Graveside services are to follow at Little Cemetery in Little, OK.
