Joyce (Ladd) Booth, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 in Shawnee at the age of 88. Joyce was born on October 10, 1936 in Valley Mills, Texas to John W. and Hazel (Graham) Ladd. She was a graduate of Pauls Valley High School. In her life she traveled to Africa, Houston, Corpus Christi, Tulsa and spent her later years in Seminole. She was married to James Booth until his death. James passed away on October 29, 2013. Joyce retired from her career as secretary for New Lima High School. Joyce enjoyed painting, writing, crochet and reading.
Joyce is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Micki Craton of Seminole, OK and David and Susan Craton of Broken Arrow, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Pat Ladd of Tyler, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Lewis Bridges of Tupelo, MS; two grandchildren, Mikayla Craton of OKC and Tyler and wife, Lesley Craton of Irving, TX; great grandchild Kaleb Craton and many other family and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Ladd; brother, Alan Ladd and husband, James Booth.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
