Joseph "Joey" Larry Houck Jr.

Joseph “Joey” Larry Houck Jr., Newalla resident, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the age of 58. Joey was born on December 16, 1966 in Fallon, NV to Joseph Larry Houck Sr. and Carole (Pitman) Houck. He grew up in Seminole and later moved to Washington, OK. He graduated from New Lima High School in 1985. He married Kelly Smithee on June 20, 1987 in Seminole, OK. Joey worked as branch manager for Air Capital Equipment.

Joey loved chasing his grandkids and coaching them. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He never met a stranger and always had a kind or encouraging word for everyone. Joey treasured spending time with his family.

Joey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Houck Sr.

Joey is survived by his mother Carole Houck of Seminole, OK; wife of 38 years Kelly Houck; son and daughter-in-law Aaron Blake and Kelci Houck of Goldsby, OK; daughter Kelsey Allspaugh of Newalla, OK; brother and sister-in-law Steven and Candy Houck of Fairbanks, AK; four sisters and brothers-in-law Becky and Darren White of Seminole, OK, Naoma and Jeff Nance of Seminole, OK, Laurie and Denny Stone of Bethel, OK and Rachel and Randy O’Neal of Seminole, OK; four grandchildren Jace Allspaugh, Easton Houck, Dakota Houck and Cooper Houck and many other family and friends.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Steven Houck, Toby Houck, Darren White, Denny Stone, Tommy Farrow and Randy O’Neal. Honorary casket bearers will be Randy Devine, Steve Manella, Tom George, Jake Drew, Mahala Wiggins and Steven Boulware.

Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, OK with Jeff Nance and Billy Houck officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
