Johnny Lee Goines

Seminole, OK resident Johnny Lee Goines, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 in Oklahoma City at the age of 85. He was born on May 4, 1941 in Checotah, OK to John and Lula (Thompson) Goines. He grew up in Onapa and moved to Seminole in the 1970’s. Johnny was an Onapa High School graduate. He owned and operated Johnny’s Mobile Home Services.

Johnny enjoyed fishing. He loved to drive around and sightsee. He enjoyed watching basketball, westerns, olympics and his soap operas. Johnny was known to reminisce about the good old days.

Johnny is survived by his sweetheart and partner of over 26 years JoAnn Morris of Seminole, OK; daughter, Sherry Goines of Seminole, OK; four grandchildren, Sonny Ellis, Bobby Rhodes, Savannah Dudgeon and Sonny Goines and many other family and friends.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Lula and John Goines; sisters, Christine Williams, Wilma Alley and Betty Scott and son, John Mike Goines.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen funeral home in Seminole, OK.
