JoAnn (McConnell) Richards

JoAnn (McConnell) Richards passed away at the age of 66 on March 13, 2022, at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born August 31, 1955, in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Earl Columbus McConnell and Thelma Georgia (Blakenship) McConnell. JoAnn grew up in Wewoka and later moved to Seminole. She married George Richards on August 3, 1973, and sadly he passed away May 10, 2013. JoAnn was a homemaker.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters; Michele Brock and her husband Ty of Dale, Oklahoma and Gina Dunn and her husband Justin of Seminole, Oklahoma, her brother; Marvin McConnell and his wife Bonnie of Lawton, Oklahoma, her sister; Norma Jean Taylor of Goldsby, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Destry Jackson and Krista Brumbaugh, Ansley Jackson, Paytyn Dunn, Briana Richardson and spouse Tyler and great-grandchildren; Ryland, Karson, Karter, Kyler and Brody. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.

The funeral service for JoAnn will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2022, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Ty Brock, Justin Dunn, Destry Jackson, Tyler Richardson and Ronnie Richardson. Honorary bearers will be Marvin McConnell, Jerry Richards, Junior Upton, Wes Elliott, Larry Bruce and Terry Jackson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
