Jerry Dwayne Scheller

Seminole resident, Jerry Scheller, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Seminole, at the age of 84.

Jerry, the son of Otto and Goldie (Baird) Scheller, was born October 3, 1940, in Marlow, Oklahoma. Growing up in Frederick, he graduated from Frederick High School. On December 31, 1976, Jerry married Sara Hilburn at Sara’s parent’s house in Frederick. He spent his life in the oil field, and enjoyed playing golf, painting, reading and watching the Thunder and OU play. Jerry’s wife, daughter, and grandkids were the most important thing in his life. He took the best care of his family, he had a great sense of humor and loved to be ornery. Jerry was so loving and kind to everyone, and a hard worker his entire life, he never sat still.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sara, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Steve Law, of Prague; grandchildren, Brenna Canfield and Brycen Canfield; a brother, Mike Scheller, of Seminole; and several other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, June 9, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
