Jeffery Dale Welch

Jeffery “Jeff” Dale Welch passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Jeff was born in Wickenburg, Arizona, on April 6, 1959, to Harold L. Welch and Lynn Johnson Welch. He lived in South Arizona until the family moved to Seminole, Oklahoma in 1979, where he attended Seminole Schools for two years before moving to the Butner School District. After high school, he served two years in the Army and then went to work in the oilfield.

Jeff married Teresa Lucas at a young age and they had one son, Wendel Welch. Wendel and his wife Jamie live in Norman, Oklahoma. He then married Tracy Reeves of Seminole.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Butch” Welch; and by a brother, David Lee Welch.

Jeff is survived by his son, Wendel Welch, of Norman; his mother, Lynne Welch, of Seminole; his brother, Brad Welch, of Ardmore; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and too many friends to name.

A memorial service will be Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
