Noble, Oklahoma- JB Roberts, 88 years old from Oklahoma joined the Lord in heaven at 9:30 Sunday morning January 28th, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family in Ishpeming, Michigan.
JB was a devoted loving father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather born at home in Beggs, Oklahoma July 31st, 1935, as the 2nd oldest of 6 children. He graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1954 where he enjoyed playing football with his classmates and played 1st chair cornet in the marching band. He served 4 years in the Navy with an honorable discharge. JB was always a hopeful optimist who had a funny sense of humor and reliably had something wise to say during difficult times. He was a brilliant engineer, electrician, business owner, published author, and loyal patriot to his country. He was a God-fearing man, who always made the best out of any situation. He loved his family and friends dearly and wanted to make sure that was known.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Delaine Roberts, their children Sherry (David) Warjonen, Michael (Sarah) Roberts, and stepchildren Vanda Cole, and John Brunson; Karen Sue Roberts mother of his earlier children, daughter in law Tammy Roberts widow of Jeff Roberts, Kelly (Glenn) Wagner, Scott (Lori) Roberts, 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, his sister Frankie Sue (Allen) Krausse, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons Jeff Roberts, and Todd Roberts, mother and father Francis and John Roberts, his siblings Merle Roberts, Don Roberts, Betty Anson, and Jim Roberts.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kind condolences, and welcome anyone who knew JB to leave a memory or pictures to share. JB's cremains will be buried this summer at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma and a celebration of life will be held. Family and close friends will be notified with additional details.
