Janetta Lorene Tesch

Tecumseh resident Janetta Lorene Tesch passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Shawnee.

Janetta, the daughter of Jessie and Lorene (Watkins) Ellis, was born January 2, 1965, in Prague.  After spending several years in Tulsa, Janetta’s family settled in Shawnee, where she graduated high school with the Shawnee High School class of 1983.  Janetta attended Oklahoma State University and St. Gregory’s, where she received a bachelor’s degree; she was also an adjunct professor of accounting at St. Gregory’s.  On April 20, 2001, she married Douglas Tesch in Shawnee.  She was the business manager in the Oklahoma University School of Dentistry for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Janetta is survived by her husband, Douglas Tesch of the home; mother, Lorene Watkins; daughters Tara Mosier and Tamisha Mosier, both of Shawnee; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Alex, Johnathan, David, and Elias; great grandchildren, Silas and Judah; sisters, Jelessa Green and Janay Blochowiak; and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Church of God, located at 46209 Garrett’s Lake Road, Shawnee, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
