James "Chris" Christopher Bottoms

Seminole resident, James Christopher Bottoms, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Seminole at the age of 57.

Chris, the son of James Odell and Lavoy Louise (Tate) Bottoms, was born June 15, 1968, in Oklahoma City. He attended Strother Schools and was a truck driver. Chris enjoyed fishing and shooting, he was always available to help people, and he enjoyed watching movies, and riding motorcycles. Chris loved his dog, Shadow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Odell and Lavoy Louise Bottoms.

Chris is survived by his sons, James Zachary Bottoms, of Paden, and James Calvin Bottoms, of Tulsa; a daughter, September Dawn Bottoms, of Tulsa; one granddaughter, Charly Jo Dawn Bottoms; brothers and sister-in-law, James Leonard Bottoms, and James Thomas and Diana Bottoms; sisters and brother-in-law, Jacqueline Denise and Robert Gatzke, and Debra Lynn Davis; along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., at Highway Baptist Church, north of Seminole. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
