Jacqueline Elizabeth (Ledbetter) “Jackie” Butler, 85 year old former Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Tomball, Texas.  She was born June 19, 1930 in Maud to parents, Robert Joe Ledbetter and Maudie Elizabeth (McKinney) Ledbetter. Jackie attended Central School and graduated from Maud High School in 1948.  She worked as a sales associate for ten years for Anthony’s Department Store; she also worked for Dillard’s and J.C. Penny’s. On December 26, 1947, Jacqueline married Nolen Ray Butler in Ada, Oklahoma.  The couple was active in the Masonic Lodge and Jacqueline was the treasurer of the Gleaner’s Home Extension Club when they lived in Duncan, Oklahoma.  Sadly Nolen passed away on October 22, 1983 after almost 36 years of marriage. Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Vicky Nickols and her husband, Allen Jones of Clearwater, Florida; one son, Dennis Butler; three grandchildren, Cassandra Nickols, Heather Brown, and Jeffery Butler; one sister, Doris Ellis of Lawton, Oklahoma; Two great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and dear friends. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma with Pastor Butch Bradley officiating the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
