Seminole resident Herbert Lyn Warren, 86, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Herbert was born on August 28, 1939, in Grandview, Arkansas, to Arthur and Goldie (Johnson) Warren. An ironworker by trade, he dedicated 47 years of his life to the construction industry.
On November 13, 1956, he married Judith Wojcik in Huntsville, Arkansas. Their marriage endured for nearly 70 years and was a testament to their love and commitment. Raised in Berryville, Arkansas, Herbert later spent 48 years in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, before moving to Seminole.
Herbert enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and training horses. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and the many friendships he made throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Goldie Warren; his daughter, Toni Barnes; his brothers, Robert Warren and Jim Warren; and his sister, Velma Campbell.
Herbert is survived by his loving wife, Judith Warren; his son and daughter-in-law, Sonny and Ronessa Warren of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; his daughters, Leslie Warren of Golden, Missouri, and Melissa Jones and her husband, Jonathan, of Earlsboro, Oklahoma. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Woodall Gym, Randall Davis Event Center, located at 14090 W. 835 Road in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
