Gwendylynne Ann (Krcha) "Gwen" Doolen

Gwendylynne Ann (Krcha) “Gwen” Doolen, age 76 and former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away April 6, 2026 at McLoud Nursing Center, in McLoud, Oklahoma.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. April 11, 2026 at Vamoosa Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Tommy Jesse will officiate, and casket bearers are Kyle White, Cliff White, Nathan Davis, Justin Dominguez, Reece Cosar, and Jon King. Honorary bearers are Mark Payne, Mitchell Payne, Monty Payne, Kade Davis, Alastor Davis, and Saxon White.

Gwen was born July 8, 1949 in Rosenberg, Texas to Clifford William Krcha and Annie Inez (Hoeser) Krcha. She was a long-time beautician in the Konawa area, and she was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church. Gwen loved cutting hair, bird watching, socializing, reading, and being around her family and friends. 

She is survived by two daughters, Sonya White and husband, Cliff of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Jessica Davis of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Cliff Krcha and Ray Krcha, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, one sister, Sandra Ghazi of Conroe, Texas; six grandchildren, Josh Davis, Kyle White, Courtney White, Raechel Davis, Nathan Davis, Kaddie (White) Dominguez, Justin Dominguez, and bonus grandson, Reece Cosar; eight great grandchildren, Rowen, Kade, Jayden, Alastor, Violet, Saxon, Ellie, and Maverick; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
