Geraldine Mae (Harris) Thomas

Geraldine Mae (Harris) Thomas, age 82 and a former resident of Seminole County, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Cottonwood Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Denton, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.  Pallbearers are Ed Day, Dillon Thomas, Brian Ott, Michael Ott, Adam Huerta, and Justin Vinson. Geraldine was born on June 12, 1932 in Rolston, Oklahoma to Joseph H. Harris and Jennie (Lanning) Harris.  She lived in Seminole County most of her life.  Geraldine loved to watch John Wayne Movies and to go shopping - down every isle of the store.  She always wore a smile. She is survived by one son, Mark Thomas of Konawa; one daughter, Denise and husband, Manuel Ott of Denton, Texas; one brother, Allen Harris of Sydney, Ohio; one sister, Agnes Spriggs of Springfield, Ohio; five grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jennie Harris; two sisters; and three brothers.
