Gary Wayne Smith

Gary Smith, St. Louis, OK resident, made Heaven his permanent home on November 25, 2025. Gary was born on October 15, 1949 to Bill and Opal Smith in Fort Smith, AR. He graduated in 1967 from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City. Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He married Pam Sullivan on May 13, 1988 in Shawnee, OK.

Gary was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Louis, OK where he served as Deacon for many years. He was a classic car enthusiast and loved building and restoring cars. His greatest joy was spending time with Pam and their granddaughters. They loved fishing, shooting BB guns, shopping for antiques, traveling, having wiener roasts down by the pond, treasure hunts in the pasture and racing golf carts. “Poppy” always had a way to make everything special and fun….memories that will last a lifetime for them. Gary will be remembered by family and friends for always having a smile, being quick with a joke, his generosity and a loving spirit.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Pam, of the home and his constant companion “Max”; three daughters Stephanie Robison and husband Steve of Harrah, Tamara Culwell and husband Jeff of Harrah, Tammy Crownover and husband Jeff of Tecumseh and one son, Michael Robins and wife Jana of Norman; seven grandchildren Hannah Emerton, Megan Robison, Mya Smith, Madison Robins, Molly Robins, Avery Robins, Lindy Crownover; one great-grandson, Henry Robertson; siblings, Bernice Bornstein of Sacramento, CA, Pam McFarland and husband Tom of Harrah, Debbie Schmidt and husband Otis of Moore, Birdie Stemlow of Oklahoma City, Willard Smith and wife Loreen of Grand Prairie, TX, Carl Smith and wife Diane of Kingfisher and James Smith of Springfield, MO and many other family and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Opal Smith and his siblings Stella Howell, JoAnn Bodine, Dorthy Stockton, and Bill Smith.

Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation with the family on Sunday, November 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Viewing will also be Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, December 1, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
