Furmon Earl Huff, age 89 and a long-time resident of Maud, Oklahoma passed away July 6, 2026 at Ada Retirement and Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma.
Everyone is invited to attend the interment at 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 9, 2026 at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Viewing will be held at Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home located in Maud, Oklahoma. The family will greet guests at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Furmon was born March 26, 1937 in Konawa to Zill Hill Huff and Effie Marie (Babb) Huff. He graduated from Konawa High School in 1955, and attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Furmon was a meat processor and owned his own grocery store in Maud. He was an avid antique toy collector. He also played the fiddle in the Country Lancers Band, and he played at church in Texas.He is survived by one son, Farlan Huff and wife, Danna of Ada, Oklahoma; one daughter, Gaila Elkins of Stratford, Oklahoma; one brother, Louie Huff and wife, Beverly of Sacramento, California; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zill and Effie Huff; one brother, Wallace Huff; and one grandchild, Jennifer Huff.
