Floyd A. McKeel, III , age 75 passed away at his home on February 27, 2023 in Tuttle, Oklahoma.

A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and Kent Pharaoh of Tulsa, Oklahoma will play the bagpipes.

Floyd was born November 11, 1947 in Oklahoma City to Floyd A. McKeel, Jr. and Virginia Elizabeth (Payne) McKeel.  He graduated with a Master’s degree and worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.  He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1967 until 1971 in Vietnam and became a Corporal.  He married Shelia Runae Doolen on January 26, 1970 in Santa Anna, California.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shelia McKeel of the home; three sons, Floyd A. "Shane" McKeel, IV of Florida, Christopher "Bryan" McKeel of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Justin Lance McKeel of Vamoosa, Oklahoma; one sister, Rebecca Elizabeth Biggs of Moore, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren, Cooper Cash, Christopher Lance, Kara Elizabeth, and Clover Shyann McKeel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Shannon, Pam and Linda.
