Emmaneul Lee Johnson passed away August 01, 2024 at Heritage Nursing Home, Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He was youngest son of Frank and Dolly (Hamiliton) Johnson. He was born on the “Old Johnson Home place” on Highway 09. He lived most of his life in the Tecumseh and Earlsboro areas. He graduated from Earlsboro High School and Gordon Cooper Vocational-Technical School in 1972. He married Debra­­­­ Taylor in 1987 at the home of Dwain and Nita Johnson with Rev. Client Wilburn officiating. He was a full highly skilled welder. He worked as a welder until an unfortunate on-the-job injury rendered him unable to work full-time. On a rare good day, he built structures on Dwain’s farm and yard ornaments for his sister-in-law, Nita. He lived with his disabled father and cared for him for 14 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Sam and Julia (Cotton) Johnson; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Augustine (Blackburn) Hamilton; sisters, Frances Jean and her husband, Creadel Norman of Earlsboro, OK, Barbara Warrior of Kansas City, MO, Betty Sample of Earlsboro, OK; brother, Willard Johnson of Seminole, OK; nephews, Alvino Johnson of Shawnee, OK, Jimmy Norman, Earlsboro, and Zachary Williams of Shawnee; nieces, Kathy Johnson of Kansas City, MO and Crystal Johnson of Oklahoma City; 1 paternal uncle; 1 paternal aunt; 8 maternal uncles and 8 maternal aunts.

He is survived by Darlene Winrow of the home; Darlene’s two sons, Rickey and Georgette O’Bryant of Shawnee, OK and Kevin and Kitti O’Bryant of Shawnee; Darlene’s daughter Ricia and Chad Brooking of Shawnee, OK; his son, Emanuel Lee Johnson, Jr of Ada, OK; brother, Dwain (Juanita) Johnson of Tecumseh, OK; brothers-in-law, Charles Warrior, Sr of Kansas City, MO, and James Sample of Earlsboro, OK; nephews, Charles Warrior, Jr of Kansas City, MO, Reginald Williams of Earlsboro, OK, Steven Johnson of Houston, TX, Bernard Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK, and Roderick Johnson of Alva, OK: nieces, Dorothy Bray of Shawnee, OK, Michelle Warrior, Linda Warrior, Deleesa Warrior, and Charlene Warrior all of Kansas City, MO., Kathleen of Dallas, TX, Valleria Getachew (Dempsey) of Seminole, OK.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
