Elizabeth Jane (Harcrow) Stevenson

Elizabeth Jane Harcrow Stevenson passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children, sister, mother, husband, and grand-dog after a valiant four year battle with metastatic cancer.

Elizabeth, known as “Janie or EJ,” was born on October 29, 1953 to Dolores Charlene Warren Harcrow and James Lewis Harcrow, Sr. in DeQueen, AR. Janie was raised in Crowley, LA for most of her youth. After graduating from Broken Bow High School in Oklahoma in 1972 she attended East Central University studying Psychology.  She enlisted in the Army in 1975 in which she served with the final class of the Women’s Army Corp. EJ went on to start her 25+ year career as an Accountant in the Automotive Industry, working most of her time with Ford Motor Company before pursuing a life long dream of running a family owned Cajun restaurant. After a short stint as owner/operator of Rusty’s Diner in Seminole, OK she retired to be a full time grandmother and also completed her college degree and went on to earn an MBA.

Janie got married to Billy Dan Stevenson on November 4, 1978 in Golden, OK. They moved to Seminole, OK in 1980 where they raised their three children together eventually ending up in Edmond, OK in 1989.

She is survived by her mother, Dolores Charlene Warren Harcrow of Lantana, TX; husband, Billy Dan Stevenson of Yukon, OK; her children, Billy Brian Stevenson of Broken Bow, OK, Troy Stevenson of Yukon, OK, Sebrina Sale and husband Harlan of Yukon, OK.; her sisters, Robin Griffith and husband Steven of Lantana, TX, and Trisha Harcrow of Seminole, OK; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Hunter Stevenson, Mikayla, Jozzlynne, and Zoe Sale; great granddaughter, Caizlyn Stevenson; nieces and nephews, David Stevenson, Jr, Angela Lane and husband Aaron, Jessica Nickell and husband Ryan, Abby and Lily Harcrow, James, Eli, Nate, and Grace Griffith, and Blake Lazano; daughter-in-law,  Shannon Stevenson; mother in-law, Doris Stevenson; brother in-law, David Stevenson and wife Barbara, along with numerous other great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Janie is preceded in death by her father, James Lewis Harcrow, Sr.; her brothers, James “Jimmy” Lewis Harcrow, Jr., and Russell “Rusty” Gene Harcrow and her father in-law, Wilburn Stevenson.

A private service for Janie will be held to rest her ashes with her Father and Brother at Rest Haven Cemetery in Seminole, OK, officiated by Brother In-Law, Steven Griffith, and musical arrangements by Kelly Almond and Samuel Ward.
