David Henry Moore, age 80 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away July 5, 2026 at Inspire Specialty Hospital in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026 at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
David was born February 23, 1946 in Konawa to Monty “Lee” Moore and Lela Cecil (Dorsey) Moore. He graduated from Vamoosa High School and worked as a driller for Akerman Oil Company. He proudly served in the Air Force from January 1966 until August, 1969. He was also a member of the Ada VFW. David loved dancing, sight seeing, and visiting with his family and friends.
He is survived by two sons, David Moore, II and wife, Santia of Ada, Oklahoma, and Glenn Moore and wife, Kristen of Sulphur, Oklahoma; two daughters, Cathy Clutter, and husband, Ron of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Shay Jared and husband, Nick of Arkansas; two brothers, Donald Moore and wife, Eva of Hennessey, Oklahoma, and Larry Moore of Muskogee, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, Lindsey Harjo and husband, Patrick, Blaine Armstrong, Dallas Armstrong, Reese Moore, Tess Moore, Scout Moore, Levi Moore and wife, Felicia, Jonathan Moore, Kaitlyn Ridgeway and husband, Chad, Shania Moore, Lynie Jared, and Riley Jared; nine great grandchildren, Elijah Harjo, Anthony Armstrong, Grayce Armstrong, Kensley Kelough, Hunter Kelough, Presleigh Moore, Brynlee Moore, Camden Moore, and Maleek Sterling; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lela Moore; two sisters, Sue Ivey, and Charlene Franks; and one brother, Ed Moore.
