David Henley

David Goodman Henley, 70, former longtime Seminole resident, now of Tecumseh, Oklahoma died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Tecumseh. David was born June 15, 1944 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Loretta (Goodman) and Clinton Henley. David lived most of his life in Seminole, attended public schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1962. David was an outstanding football player in high school and has been inducted to the Seminole Alumni Hall of Fame, for football. David was of member of the Church of Christ, Bass Club, Sooner Club and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in business. David was employed at Salazar Roofing and Construction in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as a salesman for the past 7 years. David is survived by his two sons, Damon Henley and his wife Rhonda and Derek Henley and his wife Danielle both of Seminole, Oklahoma. Also surviving David are his brother, Mike Henley and his wife Trellis of Santa Rosa, California and his sister, Cherie Trousdale of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, his grandchildren, Cord Henley, Dax Henley, Lakin Henley, Bailey Henley, Aryel Henley and three great grandchildren Adrain Henley, Keano Henley and Braxton Henley, his special friend Janie Withrow Davis uncle, Kenneth Goodman of Prue, Oklahoma and aunt, June Looney of Dallas, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Henley and sister Rebecca Henley and brother-in-law, Bob Trousdale. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Eric Henson and Tim Tate officiating at the service. Honorary bearers will be Cord Henley, Dax Henley, Trae Trousdale, Thurman Edwards and Larry Cuzalina and Ronnie Conner.
