Darla Jean Gouker

Seminole resident, Darla Jean Gouker, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Seminole. 

Darla, the daughter of E.C. and Gladys (Harper) Spoon, was born May 21, 1949, in Prague, Oklahoma. She graduated from Meeker High School, with the class of 1967. Darla was in real estate, spending many years in property management. On May 4, 2007, she married Kenneth Gouker, in Shawnee. She enjoyed doing yardwork, taking care of her flowers, and hummingbirds, and she loved her dog, Charlie. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Gouker; and a brother, Charles Spoon. 

Darla is survived by her sons, Tommy Gentry, of Delaware, Arkansas, and James Gentry, of Delaware, Arkansas; grandchildren, Nichole Dutton, Lindsey Gentry, Madysen Gentry, and Anna Gentry; a sister, Carolyn Barker, of Maud; and many other family members and friends. 

Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
