Danette Elizabeth Hollopeter

Danette Elizabeth Hollopeter, El Reno resident, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 in Ada, OK at the age of 69. Danette was born on September 13, 1956 in Midwest City, OK to Daniel Frank and Reba Fern (Davis) Hollopeter.

Danette enjoyed reading and travel. She was immensely family oriented and adored her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She loved how they helped take care of her. Danette always wanted those around her to understand that one gets out of life what one gives to it. She was known to live by the Golden Rule always treating others as she wanted to be treated. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Danette is survived by her two daughters, Rebekah Gatzke of El Reno and Heather Johnson of Holdenville, OK; three sisters, Patsy Roberts of Stonewall, OK, Anna Penke of Omaha, NE and Merry Russell of Omaha, NE; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Danette was preceded in death by her parents; sister Theresa-Lynn Hollopeter and her husband, Mark Grossman.

Danette’s family will celebrate her life at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
