Dan Reynolds, Jr. 87 year old lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Saturday June 20, 2015 in Seminole. He was born September 16, 1927 in Seminole at the home in Letha, to parents Dan Reynolds, Sr. and Rosa (Chatagnier) Reynolds. Dan went on to serve in the United States Army where he earned the rank of corporal. On September 4, 1954 Dan married Helen “Lucille” Rogers in Hartwell, Georgia after only knowing each other for 19 days. They celebrated their 60th anniversary last year. Dan retired from CBI (Chicago Bridge & Iron) in December of 1982 after 37 years. If you were to calculate the hours he worked it would equal out to over 47 years of work. He was so proud to work for CBI and most of his stories often involved a big smile as he talked about his career. He worked all over the world building some of the largest steel structural forms ever built including tank farms, dams, pipeline, etc. Most importantly he built a legacy that few will match. Dan was the definition of what a real man truly was. He loved his family unconditionally, helped friends and strangers alike without reserve or judgment. His word was his bond and he lived his life with honor. His list of accomplishments in life are endless; his work ethic legendary. There was nothing he couldn’t build, improve upon or repair. He was the example of a man that other men could be measured against. He bestowed honor, loyalty, dignity, compassion, love, a great sense of humor and the best story teller on the planet. He was from a different generation, some call it the greatest generation and if you knew Dan, you would understand why. He was comfortable in bib overalls and work boots and was respected by many people. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Andrew and wife Grace Reynolds, Leroy and wife Mary Reynolds, Prince Reynolds, Oscar Clifton, Bruce Johnson; sister Edna and husband L.C. Gourley; nephews Jackie Reynolds, Dan Gourley and niece Cynthia Noles.
