Cynthia Ann Woods was born to Riley and Mary Martin on June 12, 1955, in Dallas, Texas. She grew up under the wide Texas sky with her younger brothers, Mike and Matt. It was under that same sky she met the love of her life, Steven Earl Woods. The two would marry July 17, 1971, and would welcome their beloved boys, Steven Heath on February 19, 1972, and Jeremy Lee on February 6, 1973.
Cindy and Steve would relocate their family to Midwest City, Oklahoma in 1979 where they relished watching their young boys become strong men. In 1992, they moved to Shawnee Twin Lakes, where they worked side by side on building their own little slice of heaven. Their cabin would go on to welcome 6 grandchildren, decades of 4th of July celebrations, countless sleepovers, and a lifetime of love, adventures, and memories.
Cindy loved life. She loved her country, traveling, nature, music, and art. There was not much that she could not create with her own two hands, and she was happiest when she was passing on her extensive knowledge to those she loved. Above all else, Cindy, most affectionately known as "Ma" by her grandbabies, fiercely loved and cherished her family. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by her babies and their families, sharing stories and laughs, and hoarding as many pictures as she could get her hands on... except maybe when her Texas Longhorns beat the Oklahoma Sooners.
She went on her final, and most glorious adventure home to her Heavenly Father the morning of September 14, 2025 after spending the last days of her life surrounded by her children, her brother, and her family. We will all miss her infectious laugh, mischievous sense of humor, and boundless creativity. We are grateful beyond words for the 70 beautiful years of love she brought to the world. We are all better for having known and loved her.
Cindy is preceded in death by the love of her life, Steven Earl Woods, her parents Mary Rae Manning and Riley Carol Martin, her brother Matthew Ray Martin, her brother-in-law William Russell Woods, and her nephew James David Brandon.
