Crystal Gale Patton

Crystal Patton, formerly of Wewoka, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at 43.

Crystal, the daughter of Elmer and Vina (Thomas) Crockett, was born December 2, 1979, in Wewoka.   After graduating from Butner High School, Crystal continued her education getting a bachelor’s degree and ultimately receiving her master’s degree work.  On February 6, 2006, she married Kenneth Patton, at Spring Creek Baptist Church, in Wewoka.  Crystal enjoyed walking, she frequently participated in 5k walks, painting, coaching at the YMCA, hanging with her friends and being with her family, she also enjoyed watching tv.

Crystal passed away from an incredible fight with cancer.  She was a very strong person and one of the most kindhearted, loving people you could ever meet.  She took experimental treatments in hope that she could help other with their fight with cancer.  Crystal will truly be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Crockett; her father, Elmer Crockett Sr.; and her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandparents.

Crystal is survived by her mother, Vina Mae Crockett of Wewoka; her husband, Kenneth Patton of Del Ctiy; a son, Keylan Patton of Del City and a bonus son, Marquez Patton of Wichita KS; a daughter, Kynesha Olden of Del City, and a bonus daughter, Artanna Patton of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Elmer Crockett Jr and Sherry, of Owasso, Troy Crockett and Lisa, of Shawnee, and Marcus Crockett and Billie, of Wewoka; six sisters, Faylene Peters and Dion of Wewoka, Patricia Hunt and Tim of Wewoka, Audrey Eldridge and Ezel, of Seminole, Tina Johnson and Thomas, of Wewoka, Loretta Johnson and C.C. of Tulsa, and Jimmie Pavon, of Georgia, along with bonus sisters, Terri Monks, Tonya Monks and Kim Monks Hayworth; and many other family members and friends.

Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
