Connie Jean Gray

Connie Jean Gray (Wainwright) passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Seminole, OK at the age of 80 surrounded by her family. Connie was born on January 21, 1946 in Seminole to Albert McCoy and Allie Estella (Howell) Moliter, McCoy, Foutz.

She loved spending time watching movies, whether it was a classic western or a good scary film. She enjoyed going out to dinner and the casino. She lived building puzzles, cooking meals for those she loved, and searching for garage sales for hidden treasures. Many times she would transform an item that she found in a sale into something beautiful.

Connie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charity and Roger Smith of Seminole; son and daughter-in-law, Roy Mitchell and Tina Wainright of Seminole, OK; sisters, Joyce Dycus and Lelia McCoy-Renfro; brother, Buster McCoy; grandchildren, Lacey and Kendric Martin of Shawnee, Taylor and Leah Wainwright of Seminole, Hanna Wainwright of Tulsa, Jordan Moreno of Seminole, Devon and Lola Williamson of Shawnee, and Jaxson Boyer of Seminole.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert McCoy and Allie Estella Foutz; ex-husband, Roy Eugene Wainwright; brothers, Eric Foutz, Troy Foutz, Guy Foutz and sisters, Sharon Kay McCoy and Donna Moliter.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Starting Point Church (Temple of Praise) located at 1100 N. University St., Seminole, OK 74868 with Pastor Jeff Nance conducting. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
