Christopher Garth Moon

Harrah resident Christopher Garth Moon, 52, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026, at his home.

Chris, the son of Herbert and Mary (Bell) Moon, was born October 12, 1974, in Seminole, Oklahoma. He spent his early years growing up in Wewoka before moving to Seminole during his teenage years. He graduated from Seminole High School with the Class of 1993. On April 18, 2020, he married Mary Ann White in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, beginning a life together filled with love and shared memories.

Chris was employed as a plant manager for Van Eaton Ready Mix in Midwest City. Outside of work, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies and outdoor activities. He especially loved fishing, golfing, and spending time on the lake. He also had a fondness for classic cars and trucks and appreciated the outdoors and the opportunities it provided to enjoy the things he loved.

More than anything, Chris was a family man. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with the people who meant the most to him. He treasured the relationships he shared with his loved ones and friends, finding happiness in their company and in the everyday moments spent together. His love for his family was an important part of who he was, and the memories they shared will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Chris was a member of Yukon First Baptist Church, where he shared in the fellowship of his faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Tolson; and his grandparents, Herbert Sr. and Gladys Moon, and Medreath and Fairy Bell.

Chris leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Ann, of the home; his father, Herbert Moon; his brothers, Robbie Moon and Mike Moon; along with numerous other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Clark Wrather officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah.
