Charles Wade Hudson

Charles Wade Hudson, age 86 and a resident of Konawa, passed away September 8, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoose Cemetery. Casket bearers are Linda Roberts, Tommy Hudson, Bobby Hudson, Frankie Hudson, Charles Hudson, Jr., Ronnie Stokes, and Jimmy Russell. Honorary bearers are Tyler Hale, Justin Wood, Jonathan Wood, Travis Stokes, Dusty Rowland, Bubba Ortiz, and Bubba Hudson. The family will receive guests Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Charles was born February 9, 1939 near Dora, Oklahoma to Joseph Oscar Hudson and Helen Lucille (Bell) Hudson. He married Flora Leona Wilson on July 20, 1964 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He was an equipment operator for Brown and Root. He liked going to Eufaula to go fishing with his buddy, Dan Herriman. He also loved going camping, playing music, and playing dominos.

He is survived by four sons, Tommy Curtis Hudson and wife, Jo Evelyn of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Bobby Joe Hudson of Konawa, Oklahoma, Frankie Dale Hudson and wife, Gina of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Charles Wade Hudson, Jr. an wife, Sonya of Konawa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Linda Gail Roberts and husband, Jim of Konawa; one sister, June Morgan of Konawa; 21 grandchildren, Travis Stokes, Ronnie Stokes, Becky Ortiz, Dusty Rowland, Maranda Watson, Missy Winkler, Wade Hudson, Ryan Hudson, Lacy King, Charles Hudson, Wade Hudson, Cody Nickell, Bubba Hudson, Cora Hale, Krista Marcel, Jessie Hudson, Justin Wood, Cassidy Fent, Jonathan Wood, Jarrode Wood, and C.J. Hudson; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. O. and Helen Hudson; his wife, Flora Leona Hudson; six brothers, J. O. Hudson, Alfred Hudson, Cleo Hudson, Afton Hudson, Tommy Hudson, and Alonzo Hudson; one sister, Vera Doran; one daughter-in-law, Tina Hudson; and one grandchild, Misty Gail Hudson.
