Carolyn Jo Johnston

Carolyn Jo (McCraw) Johnston, age 61 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away May 23, 2025 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery of Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Dave Herriman will officiate. Pallbearers are Jason Johnston, Robert Johnston, Bruce McCraw, Lori Cantrell, Scott Sanders, and Mathew Welch. Honorary bearers are Robert McCraw and Eric Cantrell.

Carolyn was born January 28, 1964 in Ada, Oklahoma to Robert Jerome McCraw and Carol Faye (McGuire) McCraw. She graduated from Konawa High School and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked as a cashier for Dollar General, and she enjoyed working in the garden, drawing pictures, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Jerry McCraw of Konawa; two sons, Robert Johnston of Konawa, and Jason Johnston and wife, Lindsey of Tribbey, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jennifer Sharber of Konawa; two sisters, Ronda Welch and husband, Mathew of Konawa, and Robbie Sanders and husband, Scott of Konawa; six grandchildren, Alexis Johnston, Colton Johnston, Kashlynn Johnston, Addysyn McFarland, Baylee Johnston, and Stetson Sharber; longtime best friend, Lori Cantrell of Asher, Oklahoma; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Johnny Johnston.
