Carolyn Lee Chase

October 24, 1946 — September 19, 2025

Seminole

Seminole resident Carolyn Lee Chase, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025, in Seminole. Carolyn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.

Born on October 24, 1946, in Ashtabula, Ohio, Carolyn was the cherished daughter of Charles and Jean (Lamer) Bruckman. At a young age, Carolyn’s family embarked on a memorable journey to California in a 1950 Buick sedan, towing a 40-foot travel trailer. The trip took a few weeks, and it was an adventure that Carolyn fondly remembered. During their school years, Carolyn and her sister Charon rode the bus to school, and almost every time, Charon had to wake Carolyn up when they arrived at school.

Carolyn met and married the love of her life, Warren Steve Chase, on January 10, 1969, in Eaglerock, California. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their family in California before moving to Oklahoma in 2017. Carolyn's love for Jesus and her family was evident in everything she did. She was a wonderful homemaker, always ensuring that everyone around her was full, happy, and healthy. Carolyn had a passion for cooking and sharing her delicious meals with family and friends. She found joy in watching her grandchildren play together and cherished the moments spent with them in the yard. Carolyn was known for her quick wit, which she always expressed in a loving and gentle manner. Her intuition was strong, and she always seemed to know just what was needed. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, crochet, and needlepoint, all of which she enjoyed immensely.

After retiring, both Carolyn and Charon returned to the road, traveling the country for over 10 years. They spoke daily and were each other's best friends, sharing countless adventures and creating lasting memories together.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Jean Bruckman.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Warren Steve Chase; her two sons, David Chase, and James and Anita Chase, all of Seminole; her nine grandchildren, Brad, Chad, Jimmy, Garrett, Steven, Stephanie, Courtney, David, and Sydney; and her nine great-grandchildren, Asiana, Noa, Jaxson, Rory, William, Xavier, David Jr., Laney Mae, and Marik. Carolyn also leaves behind her dear sister, Charon Ritter of Covington, WA, and many other cherished family members and friends.
