Maud resident Carey Allen Reynolds passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 in Seminole, OK at the age of 67. Carey was born on January 23, 1959 in Oklahoma City, OK to Henry Edgar and Mary Ellen (DeHaven) Reynolds. He was a Meeker High School graduate and later obtained his associates degree from OSU. He worked as a welder and quality control for Shawnee Steel for the better part of his life.
Carey enjoyed bowling, carpentry, fishing, camping, building pole barns and playing games on his phone. He loved to play board games and spending quality time with his grandchildren whom he adored. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching their games with Jessy. Carey was a devoted Christian and member of the congregation and the choir at Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker. He enjoyed older TV shows like Gilligan’s Island and Gunsmoke.
Carey is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Brandy Reynolds of Fort Drum, New York; daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Keith Hames of Maud; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Curtis Greenwood of Maud; eight grandchildren, Chelsea Marie and Aaron of Tishomingo, Keith Tyler of Maud, Kenneth Jay of Maud, Jessy Allen and David-Henry Earl of Maud, Allie Michelle and Bishop Alan of New York an Gavin Armando Ortiz of Texas; four great grandchildren, Tucker Wade, Jackson Earl Don, Kyle Rodey-Owen and Kaicyn Legacy and many other family and friends.
Carey was preceded in death by his parents.
Carey’s family will celebrate his life on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud with Pastor Butch Bradley officiating.
