Betty Jean Mason Martin

Betty Jean Mason Martin, Seminole resident, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 81. Betty was born on October 3, 1944 in Konawa, OK to Samuel Gilbert and Margaret Agnes (Curley) Howell.

Back in her younger days Betty enjoyed hanging out with friends and family and going to the lake. She loved her career as a hair stylist. She took great pride in her Native American collectibles.

Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and April Mason of Tecumseh; daughter Tina Marie Moore of Bethany; sister Shirley Deatherage of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother Sonny Howell, sister Kay Clower and son Mike Mendinghall.

Viewing will be Monday, October 13, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Little Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Nance officiating.
