Betty Lou Barnes

Seminole, OK resident Betty Lou (Henson) Barnes passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Seminole, OK at the age of 86. Betty was born on August 19, 1939 in Wyandotte, OK to Francis Melton and Lula May (Ellison) Henson. She married James William Barnes on June 19, 1964 in Paris, TX. Betty enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Betty is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law: Tim and June Barnes, Ronnie Barnes, Rodger and Judy Barnes and David Barnes; one brother (name); one sister, Chrystal Louise Henson Dixon; brother, Charles Monroe Henson; grandchildren, Matthew D. Barnes-Williams, Shane Michael Barnes, William Barnes, Clayton Barnes, Dylan Barnes, Brandy Lynn Barnes and Misty Lynn Barnes; one great grandchild and many other family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James William Barnes and siblings, Earnest Henson, Leroy Henson, Elmer Glen Henson, Virginia Henson Brown, Ruth Ann Henson, Lawrence Leonard Henson, Dorothy Sue Henson Treese.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Little Cemetery. Pastor Carl Whitfield will be officiating.
