Barney "Bo" Baptiste Collins

Barney “Bo” Baptiste Collins, Oklahoma City resident, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 48.  Bo was born on June 16, 1973 to Charles Edward Collins and Jeanetta Sue (Burgess) Sloat, in Seminole, Oklahoma.  He loved the cultural dances, listening to music and playing xbox.

Bo is survived by his daughter, Nola Rene Raina Collins;   brother, Jimmy Sloat of Lawton, OK; sister, Rhonda Little of Oklahoma City, OK; three nieces, Zuhra and Meka Sloat of Texas and Carmen Baker of Big Fork, Montana; 1 great niece, Natalie Baker of Big Fork, Montana; one great nephew, James Baker of Big Fork, Montana; first cousins that are more like brothers and sisters, Sherry Franco, Ceasar Vigil, Richa Villescas, Dino Velo, Channon Worcester and Joseph Burgess and many other family and friends.

Bo was preceded in death by his mother, Jeannetta Sue (Burgess) Sloat; father, Charles E. Collins; maternal grandmother, Josephine Coker Burgess; maternal grandfather, Colbert Barney Burgess; paternal grandmother, Hattie Collins; maternal uncles, Russell Chink Burgess and Colbert Sonny Burgess and maternal aunt, Susie Burgess Worcester.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Ceasar Vigil, Dino Veto, Arron King, Issac Jacob, John Gates and Derek Vigil.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.
