Arthur Lee Jackson

Arthur Lee Jackson, Wewoka resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at his home, at the age of 62. Arthur was born on February 12, 1961 in Oklahoma City to Buster Jackson and Neola (Berry) Jackson.  He married Polly Jackson on April 25, 2015 in New Lima, OK.

Arthur enjoyed basketball, fishing, dominoes, playing cards, hunting, swimming and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Arthur is survived by his father, Buster Jackson; wife, Polly Jackson; sons, Arthur Jackson and  Elmer Gentry; daughter, Elaine Jackson and husband, Joseph Rideaux; brother, Oatis Jackson; two sisters, Collette Payne and husband, Wyndell and Colletta Davis and husband, Rodney; fourteen grandchildren, Deyton Jackson, Joseph Rideaux Jr., TaNya Rideaux, Alexa Rideaux, TaKira Rideaux, Arthur Jackson, Jr., Amir Jackson, Aurora Jackson, Mylayah Jackson, Invie Berry, Zomariaon Moore, Akiva Brown, Devin Brown, Kaine Ellis and Donovan Brown; two great grandchildren, Hazel Rideaux and Joseph Rideaux III and a host of other family and friends.

Arthur was preceded in death by his mother, Neola Jackson; daughter, LaDonna Jackson; sisters, Kimberly Jackson and Tresha Jackson and brother, Bernard Jackson.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at New Lima Baptist Church.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
