Seminole resident, Anna Mae Stephenson, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, in Seminole.
Anna, the daughter of Alfred and Madeline (Wolf) Brummett, was born November 27, 1949, in Talihina. Anna moved frequently as a child, as her father followed work, ultimately settling Colony, where she graduated high school, with the class of 1967. She continued her education at East Central University in Ada receiving a master’s degree in human resources, counseling. On February 12, 1971, Anna married Robert Stephenson, in Cordell, Oklahoma. Anna and Robert were married 52 years, prior to his passing on November 11, 2023. Anna enjoyed going to yard sales, thrifting, watching movies and reading, but nothing was as important to her as time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Freddie Brummett.
Anna is survived by her son, Michael Stephenson, of Seminole; daughters, Renee Foulks, of Wewoka, and Michele Neal, of Seminole; grandchildren, Savannah Dodgeon, of Seminole, Bradley Foulks, of Seminole, Mariah and Parker Jones, of Harrah, Bailey Foulks, of Seminole, and Kloe Pamer, of Seminole; great grandchildren, Braedon Foulks, and Bryson Foulks; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Norma Brummett, of Maud, Harold and Colleen Brummett, of Wewoka, and Bobby Brummett, of Wewoka; sisters and brothers-in-law Geroldine Fearn, of Prague, Judy and Lou Hamilton, of Weatherford, Marlene and Doug Heinrichs, of Cordell, Suzanne and Jeff Richardson, of Wewoka; sister-in-law, Judy Delos Santos; along with many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be Monday, August 5, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Gleaner’s Holiness Church in Wewoka, with Tony Chesser officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
