Anna Jane (Duck) Roe

Anna Jane (Duck) Roe , age 72 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home, June 13, 2023.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 at Vamoosa Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Kevin Duck and Rev. Bruce Sanders will officiate, and burial will follow at Vista Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Tim Coffey, Roy Hicks, Glenn Welcher, Keith Tyler, Brody Roe, and Briggs Roe.  The family will greet guests at the funeral home Thursday evening, June 15th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Anna was born in Konawa on January 4, 1951 to Willie Lee Duck and Lillie Bell (Payne) Duck.  She graduated from Konawa High School, and she married David Paul Roe August 10, 1970.  She was a member of Vamoosa Baptist Church.  Anna had a big heart for others from hosting all the holiday family dinners to buying things for strangers in need. If she heard someone say that they were struggling, she would show up with sacks full of stuff that they needed.  Anna loved arts and crafts.  Her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also loved spoiling her grand-dogs!  If you knew Anna, you knew love.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David Roe of the home; two sons, James Roe and wife, Sherry of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Michael Roe and wife, Stacey of Konawa; five grandchildren, Trinity, Serenity, Destiny, Brody, and Briggs; two great grandchildren, Oaklynn and Wrenlee; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lillie Duck; five brothers, Ed, Jimmy, Johnny, Claude, and Harold Duck; and two sisters, Geraldine Meadows and Billie Crownover.
