Anna May Riddle

Anna May (Coursey) Riddle, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026, in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Anna was born on June 18, 1949, in Alburn, California, to Leland Young and Bonnie Crownover. She married the love of her life, Garry Lee Riddle, who preceded her in death on March 13, 1988.

Anna lived a life centered around caring for others. She had a gentle heart and a true gift for making people feel loved, valued, and cared for. She spent more than 20 years as a personal care assistant at Seminole Hospital, where she also served as a “Pink Lady.” Helping others was more than a job to Anna—it was a calling. She also devoted several years to prison ministry, sharing her time, compassion, and faith with those who needed encouragement and hope.

Anna’s love for others extended into every part of her life. She was a dedicated Sunday School teacher and spent many years caring for the elderly. Whether she was serving at the hospital, teaching Sunday School, ministering to those in prison, or simply lending a helping hand to someone in need, Anna gave freely of herself. Her kindness and compassion left a lasting impression on countless lives.

Those who knew Anna will remember her not only for the many ways she served others, but for the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and selfless service—a legacy that will continue through the lives of the people she loved and helped along the way.

Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Garry Riddle, and her parents.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, James and Julie Riddle of Seminole, David Riddle of Yukon, and Randy Riddle of Yukon; her grandchildren, Chancey Riddle of Seminole, Garry Riddle of Shawnee, Cadey Riddle of Seminole, Brett Riddle of Yukon, and Connor Riddle of Yukon; her great-grandchildren, Dusty Riddle of Seminole, Lane Wright of Seminole, Jason Burgess of Checotah, and Adalene Riddle of Shawnee; her brother, Walt Coursey of Centerville, Tennessee; as well as many other family members and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Anna’s life was a beautiful example of what it means to serve others with a loving and giving heart. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her earthly work is complete, but her legacy of love and faith will live on.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Willie Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
